Picture frame RESTORATION
Services include structural frame repairs, cleaning, re-gilding, repair of mouldings, retouching and varnishing. We specialise in restoring antique gilded picture frames and mirrors.
Repairs are always started following an initial review and agreeing the approach with the client. A new “old look” can be achieved by application of patina over the gilding that is carefully matched with the original tones.
Mirror glass can be replaced or stripped and gilded for a beautiful églomisé finish.
